Sth's wrong with the tieflings / Last Light Inn (spoilers)
I went to Moonrise Towers and freed the gnomes and thieves. The gnomes are back at the inn, chatting at a table and the bit with Barcus popped up.

However, out of all the tieflings there's only Lakrissa, no one else is around. No Matis, no Rolan, even Danis is standing under the bridge all alone grieving Bex.... half of the tiefling party is missing. No kids anywhere at all, either, so I can't talk to anyone to trigger the quest to save Mol.

The problem is, I didn't notice this for quite a bit so I have no idea where they got lost. They definitely weren't killed during the rescue because I had the guards and Warden under control as the prisoners were rushing to the boat. Then I went to the House of Healing, cleared half of Shar's Temple, so I've done quite a bit of progress since the rescue....

Any ideas? :S

At first I thought you forgot to save the Tieflings. Then I noticed that is just racist what you wrote. Did you not notice them coming or not coming along when you arrived at Last Light Inn?

Did you talk to the kids after Mol was kidnapped? Did you find Rolan in the Shadowlands already trying to get to Moonrise?

That's just the thing, there are no kids to talk to. It's literally only Lakrissa and Alfira in the inn.

Hm, no... not yet, I guess? Arabella was the only one I ran into in the wilds.

If you already went to Moonrise after Isobel was attempted to be kidnapped you probably missed your chance from what I understand if you don't talk to them or find them before you leave the Inn after the ambush, they will try to save their friends themselves.... so :(

You can't just give the tools over and leave, hoping they figure it out. You also can't just open all the doors. The NPC logic is stupid and will make the escapees run to the first route available and, without sticking around to see it, the Ironhands will abandon the Tieflings.

If you don't wait for the Ironhands to help the Tieflings escape, the Tieflings may get left behind. It's better to let the Ironhands break through their wall, go and open their cell door after that (and only their cell), follow them through the cave leading to the Tieflings' cell, wait for them to knock through that wall, go with them all back to the boats that were passed on the way to the Tieflings' cell, and go with them all to LLI after the escapees release the boat.

The route they'll take if the doors are opened before the walls are knocked down is through the prison and out the side entrance to the docks on the east side of the towers where there are dockworkers and Absolutists who'll attack the escapees. This route is also buggy in that some of the escapees can get stuck just inside the door that leads to the east docks or stuck with the gap they must jump at the northern edge of the docks. In other words, don't expect them all to survive this way.

Hm. Did you forget to talk to Rolan and his siblings in the Grove, and convince them to stay maybe prior to resolving the Grove situation? That also affects how things go in the Shadowlands Act 2.

Uh, I honestly can't recall how that bit turned out. I let them work it out for themselves, I think they left the grove...? -- I just went back to check and they are not at the party at the camp in Act 1., so they must have left.

I reloaded a save from the the prison to check and it's just Lakrissa and Danis in the prison cell, nobody else.
