Options?
-Throw a rock at the bear
-Tell them to stop
-Look away
So I chose the 3rd thinking I could swap to Wyl to talk to Halsin (2 options being the same wtf...). But noooooooooooo. He got big mad, broke out of the cage and started to chase me while I was killing all the goblins hoping he'd settle down.
He didn't. Broke him out of his bear form only to get zapped by lightning and him changing back to the bear. I tried to knock him out but forgot that only melee can do that so Lae'zel knocked him out of his bear form a second time which for some reason made him die in a burnt lightning struck corpse of a druid.
I later found out that Zevlor got bugged somehow and wouldn't let me finish his quest despite the quest telling me to talk to him. So.... all the tiefling are dead on this run. I might restart as I was mostly tinkering with the Rogue Arcane Trickster using the main action for spells and the bonus action for dual wield sneak attacks which was fun.
LMFAO that's actually tragic, especially that you tried so hard to save it and it still screwed you lol. That's honour mode baby!
And that's exactly what happened. TPK in 2 turns. Now I know how tabletop players feel when a 'that guy' drags them into a situation they aren't remotely prepared for and takes the entire party down with them.
Hmm, haven't got there yet, but it makes me glad I'm playing a Gnomish Ancients Paladin/Light Cleric (advantage vs. Wisdom saves from gnomish cunning).
Ooooomg, I literally rush there asap for the free like, 410 exp (I always open as bard w/ friends) and I also wiped one time because Lae'zel failed the deception check xD Kindred spirits!
Nuke them from orbit just to be sure.
Yea my brother lost a run from the Gith Yankee patrol lol.
I Highly recommend not fighting her until you're level 5. Even if you resist it with one character she would quickly murderize you with pure action economy.
And I failed first attempt at non-Ironman Tactician. Okay, let's see how far I can make in this game on my first attempt. Well, I went to pick up the Nautiloid Tank next Shadowheart's pod and shot it instead. Boom. Dead. I think I only made it past the first room. Not my proudest moment. Not a deep run.
Larian sure knows how to balance combat!
You can backup saves. Or just die on purpose and continue the game with a minimum reload.
Weird. I recently reloaded a save. He could only do like 50-60 damage on tactician with his aura. And then daylight stops him from using it. Unless you have played on an Honor blind or there is nobody to counterspell him, 100 damage per turn is quite hard to get.
And in Honor mode, he does not do more damage with the aura, he gets an extra action for an AoE effect (bats)
Never used the rafters again for that fight.
