They reported it for "Whitewashing" when 2/3 variants that existed were using Wyll's default skin tone, and the remaining one was a middle eastern variant.. (the most popular one).
Fortunately the mod is currently only "under review". I presume they're waiting a few weeks for the redditors to stop crying, then may restore it.
The mod is currently still available from the author's github, from what I can see.
The other is people attempting to re-write history for a non-fictional person and pretending something other than reality is fact.
If there was a game with Cleopatra in it and someone made a "black" variant as a custom change (and wasn't pretending that was the reality), that's fine! The whole point of mods is to enjoy something different to the default.
It's happening in 2024. You live under a rock AND you hand-wave history; astounding.
Also this "sins of our fathers" line is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. You have to understand historic context to understand WHY this topic is even happening now. Why there is a double standard on nexus (but also, not? There IS a mod on nexus that white-washes BG3.)
Oh yeah you're right, they're totally just modding out the single black companion for purely wholesome reasons. Surely, nobody would ever do that for racist reasons right?
I have a hard time imagining any "child bride" mods being available on Nexusmods but I'm curious to see some documentation for it
I mean I have no doubt they exist but I have serious doubt they exist on Nexusmods, and I've spent a fair bit of time there
but just some random character in a game doesn't matter at all
