Honor Mode early recommendations

I've played through it once one normal so far and thought I'd give Honor mode a try.

i followed guides on youtube, they recommended a Bardlock, Warlock / Bade, i started as a warlock.

I just found shadowheart in the beach, got to the 3 small brains, in the first round I used a cc, the other 2 brains killed me in the first round and in the 2nd round the brains killed shadowheart. Honor Mode was over after 5 minutes. yeah :D

What went wrong? Which class do you start with in Honor mode?

yeah I got one chest of goodies and came back later for the other

but you have to rest before entering the crypt or the druid grove or you'll miss a dream, pretty pissed off that it works like that

anyway i don't know why you were killed so quickly at the begining on the beach by brains. I killed them with onlty Shadowheart and my monk. You just need use barrelmancy if you see any explosives nearby and there is one there.

You probably just continued in "Custom" mode and didn't read the prompt.

no, i killed the game's process and started it again.
I haven't continued in "Custom" mode yet. Pehaps in future Act 2 or 3 i'll do a mistake and click on that button but that didn't happen yet.

Use turn based mode to lock them in place.

they are literary staying near expolosive tank. Just shoot it from stealth and finish the rest.

Just finished the game in Honour mode blind, without ever completing the game on other modes or reading any guides. Haven't touched a single tadpole and didn't utilize any multiclassing either.

As long as you are carefully reading the enemy abilities and stats before each combat, constantly utilize consumables and do your best to NEVER get ambushed (walking slowly in stealth mode all the time whenever it's possible is highly recommended), it is perfectly doable. Be ready for a handful of hot moments and a lot of adrenaline.

If things look really ugly, use invisibility potion and run away. You will be able to ressurect the dead party members at the camp and try again later, as long as at least one character remains alive.

But then there is also that stone which you can carry around and makes you feel bliss... nevermind...

I messed up the gnoll fight today. My dwarf Bard had to run all the way back to the Zent hideout with 4 gnolls chasing him.

i will play the tactical mode, honor mode was probably too megalomaniac for me, nevertheless i am interested in how you get through act 1, i always found the beginning of baldurs gate 3 the most difficult.
