That is the point. While I am very well familiar with nearly all p&p rules, including Tasha, the Baldur's Gate 3 rules are different and the setting as video game needs a different approach.
Like the fact e.g. there are no requirements for multiclassing like you know from p&p.
And the ability score boni... Well, they are supposed to be officially released in May with the new edition as they are currently already Unearthed Arcana material.
Meta build? Some spoilers ahead.
Without cheese? I'd suggest 17 charisma so you can get easy 18 after hag, if your doing a caster bard, later in the game if you choose powers over not you can get proficient in all the talking like intimidation can reassign them then.
There is a way in game I believe to boost charisma thru gear to 24 I think you gotta grab some specific stuff idk where it's all at just heard about it, and a melee weapon to apply the cha modifiers twice as well? With heavy armor would be pretty solid.
