Oliver quest bug

I have tried to find info on this but my oliver quest is bugged in a different way than normal. I have completed everything even up to Oliver opening the portal, I followed him in, defeated his parents, convinced him to reunite with Thaniel, but Halsin still says we need to find him. Where I fought him last there is a corpse of "shadowed spirit of the land", so maybe he died instead of reuniting? Anyone else have this issue and know of a fix, or if I messed up the quest and its not a bug Ill just move on.

Didn't Halsin ask you to follow him to the lake shore after speaking to him back at Last Light? he has to open a portal there, which you have to defend, while he goes in to retrieve the boy.

Yes I have done that part of the quest line as well. I may be remembering it wrong but after I defended Halsins portal, I think I still had to go find Oliver, he got mad and opened his own portal which I went through. Oliver was in a bubble, and I killed his parents which dropped the bubble. I talked with Oliver and convinced him to reunite with Thaniel but no progression after that. I did other quests in between these steps so I may be remembering things wrong.

If by 'him', Haslin means Thaniel? Then Oliver is not involved at this time. Read the quest text again.

Wait, you are saying Haslin went into the portal and you held off the hoards and won?

From what I have read, I have done all the steps of the quest. Theres nothing else to do, Halsin just says we still have to find Oliver and the curse isnt lifted yet.

Again, did Haslin go into the Portal and you fought off the Hordes of enemies and won? Or not?

Yes, Halsin went into the portal and I fought off the hordes of enemies and won. And then completed the next steps of the quest as I have read the steps to be.

Ok. So you successfully did the fight where Oliver is in the Globe? Taking down the adds until the Globe vanishes, yes?

Correct, then talked with Oliver and convinced him to reunite with Thaniel. Now Halsin keeps saying we still need to find Oliver and when I go to leave for Baldurs Gate, he says the curse isnt lifted yet

Is Oliver somewhere in you Camp by any chance?

Thaniel is with Halsin but Oliver is not in camp as far as I can tell. There is a corpse where the globe was of "shadowed spirit of the land". I think that is when Oliver reunited with Thaniel. Maybe i killed him instead?

From my research into this, it looks like if Oliver is killed, the quest is dead and will be failed when you transition out of Act 1 or Act 2.

After the Globe fight, Oliver should be there for you to talk to and convince to rejoin Thaniel. Remember that happening?

Ill just go assume that. I dont want to leave act 2 with a quest bugged but if I killed him and cant finish the quest due to that Im fine with it lol. Thanks!
