Is it worth it to save the masked people in the Hag's dungeon?
It's being such a pain in the ass for this but as I searched online it seems it doesn't really change anything...
Also, removing the masks after knocking them out kills them, which doesn't make any sense.

The dwarf? Yes, since she'll show up in Act III.

The rest? Well, it looks like you already know the answer there, so no.

only the dwarf will retain her sanity; the rest are too far gone

also - you have to *kill* Ethel before you remove the masks but after you knock them out

if you spared her it won't work

Except for the dwarf and Captain Grisly (if she is there,) saving the masked victims offers nothing except a feeling of having done good-meaning absolutely a waste of game time.

I managed to stealth the dungeon with all the victims alive, but only the two "special" characters have any payoff. The rest result in "This one's mind is too far gone..." or some variation of narration-with or without the mask removed. There's a strong implication that they are as good as gone, although some of the named characters do have relatives in the city, there's no way to report or inform them of their crazy-eyed, muttering kin.
