When you die in honor mode, you are tossed into a "custom" difficulty that is identical to honor mode. Nothing changes mechanically.
Legendary Actions, Single Save File, The Change to haste, etc. all remain.
Yeah, the only way to get the legendary actions is via honor mode. I was disappointed with that.

Extra actions granted through Hastened or Elixir of Bloodlust no longer benefit from Extra Attack.
As an example, if you are Hastened and have Extra Attack, you can attack twice with your first action, but only once with the second action.
Sadly no. Even setting up a custom difficulty from the start, whatever you pick on toggling single save off or on can't be changed. So you can't go to single save from normal or vice versa. This applies with "dishonor mode", too.
I guess I'll wait until we can enable legendary actions without needing to go into Honor mode, then. I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to saves (and for good reason).
Yeah, Iron Man modes have never appealed to me. Losing dozens of hours of progress to circumstances beyond my control is not my idea of fun. And I don't specifically mean bugs, though those can be a worry ( I've never experienced a bug triggered full wipe before, but they can happen ). Real life happens and can lead to distractions that cause bad decisions. Granted, being turn based combat does save the worry of being called away from the keyboard, a power failure, etc leading to a wipe.
As a GeForce Now player ( because my computer is a relic ), modding isn't an option until if/when they implement Workshop support. Or someone drops a new gaming PC in my lap. ( PayPal donations to....... ) (kidding) As far as I know, modding isn't an option at all for console players. So "Just mod it" is a useless "solution" for a good number of players. Regardless, the existence of mods that do it doesn't invalidate the requests to have the feature added officially.
