Moonrise or mausoleum

Getting towards the end of act two. What’s the best way to go, finish mausoleum first or Moonrise tower?
Also i haven’t pick up gauntlet of shar quest yet.

save the mausoleum for last; once you finish the Gauntlet of Shar you'll be ending Act 2 and moving on permanently to Act 3 so you want to save the Nightsong stuff for after you've done everything else

Depends tbh, I like to hit mausoleum early to kill the guy with hellfire xbow. Dual wield that with ne'er misser for the rest of the game. Radiant damage ring is there, too. That said, there is great loot from moonrise and related quests/vendors as well, so if you really aren't into hand xbows then moonrise first would probably be better.

Mausoleum first. Moonrise is the main quest and you need to complete the Gauntlet of Shar to get what you need to defeat the big bad at Moonrise. Completing the Gauntlet of Shar locks you out of returning to the Underdark or the Wilderness. It is not the beginning of Act 3. Act 3 is not available before you complete Moonrise Towers and the road to Baldurs Gate opens. You should go to Moonrise Towers first and play along with the baddies there who will send you to the Mausoleum on a quest.

You can totes go into moonrise for +2 str potion, all the good vendor items, reverb neck, rewards from rescue the prisoners and yadda yadda you don't have to do the whole thing + kill ketheric in one shot. Snipe the good loot and come back for the bossfight later. Same with mausoleum, dont need to clear the whole gauntlet and shadowfell if you just want a ring and a crossbow.
