Am I on a time limit now?

I killed Sarevok before killing Gortash in Act III, and Orin took Lae'zel hostage. I read a previous discussion stating that if you do it this way, you're limited to 7-8 long rests before Orin gets bored and kills whoever she takes hostage. However, there seems to be conflicting information on that. Some say it does happen, others say that it doesn't.

Am I okay to keep playing, or should I load a save from before I killed Sarevok?

You're probably fine, but I've always done that sequence in one go because it fit my RP.

Ths part was tricky to me. I just followed m ygut roleplay wise on what to prioritize and it worked out. Thats the best i can offer.

Okay, good. I already made it to Bhaal's Temple (I used invisibility scrolls and potions to bypass that annoying battle right after you enter), and I know you have to pass a speech check to save your companion. Thanks.
