SPOILER - Does drinking Omeluum's potion have any in-game/story consaquences

As the title says, I drank the potion, "fought" off the parasite, got the ring and survival instincts skill.
Does this affect the story in any way, as I want to try and get the good guy ending.

It is understandable. Thankfully the final decision will be up to you. There will be some sort of "handicap", but that factor with that potion is only one of a long list. In total you are good to go either way to the very end and I assure you there is nothing to worry if you aim for a good ending.
