The bottom line is most if not all quest items are borked post Hotfix 16, this can affect opening many doors, and turning in or using many quest items. People can post workarounds and I see some are starting to go around, but many things may be borked until Hotfix 16a.
And before I was unable to feed the raptor at the circus, i had meat in the inventory but conversation only gives me the "i have no food" line
Can I roll back this morning’s hotfix?

Guess I won't be playing till this is fixed.

That's a bit involved, and I made a lot of exploration / combat progress today that is not quest item related. I assume rolling back will be a stable build, but I'll lose today's progress as today's save probably won't open with the older rev of the game, yeah?
Hmm... Might need to catch up on some TV while Larian burns the midnight oil saving a lot of people's playthroughs.

Anybody who's having trouble handing in orange quest items (noblestalk, door opening items, shar spear, netherstones, etc., etc.) ...
a) are any of you on PS5 or Xbox?
b) are any of you on PC with unmodded saves?
If that's so, it's not what some folks are thinking, but ...
It's DEF looking like it's mods .... and, it MAY even be specifically ...
c) are all of you experiencing this bug using Party Limit Begone Legacy version?
On the reddit thread discussing this bug, a lot of people are pointing to that, although it looks like one person said they're on PS5 and another person said the only mod they had was a hairstyle mod.
SO: if it's PLB Legacy, ironically, this might just hit me in 2 weeks, LOL, unless in that time interval Larian does something on their end. More likely there will be an update to PLB Legacy in that time.
Now what's totally out of the blue -- some folks are saying not only are orange quest items not working, but that they can't use the shovels in their inventory to dig up anything, and shovels are not quest items. So that's just bizarre.
I know it's the first thing to try, but I just couldn't connect how a few QOL mods, a wider hotbar, etc. would break how inventory works.
Worked for me.

Folks saying they are starting new games, even with mods, are seeing no issue. The issue appears to only be with existing saves.
Yep. Mods are causing the problem. Now here comes the inevitable hunt for which one(s) are the culprit. If you can disable them all (I can't), see if that fixes the problem for you.
