Gandrel?

if I let Gandrel live, can I go back and kill him? I didn't realized that I would get 10+ points if I let Astarion kill him and I let him live instead. Can I still go back and kill the man or do I have to start over?

I'm not sure if you get approval for killing Gandrel after the initial conversation. If he's alive though, you can meet him again in Act 3 and get a funny Astarion reaction :P

you dont gain approval if you didnt trigger it via the cutscene, but you have many more opportunities to raise his approval, my current run i didnt kill him and his approval is at fair (almost at good by like 5 points)

How much approval do I lose if I help Zevlor with the grove vs siding with the Goblins? I'm really not wanting to miss out on a relationship with Astarion and my approval is only 30 right now :c

You don't really lose approval for helping people, only for promising to help (for free).
Let him bite you, let him open the barn door in the Blighted village, give him the Necromancy book, scare the elf in Auntie Ethel's basement, make a deal with Ethel, get kinky with the priest of Loviatar...

Just tell Zevlor you won't help (Astarion approves) when you first meet him, then you can go back and tell him after you'll help and you won't get disapproval. It's what I do! Or just park him at camp while you're talking to Zevlor.

Yeah, leaving Astarion "at home" when you want to be nice to people works wonders
