Probably going to be a GOTY version that's going to be free for everyone that already owns the game.

All we know so far is that Swen seemed to be not to keen on bigger expansions in an interview shortly after release.
This might have been typical exhaustion shortly after release, though, so take it with a grain of salt.
That said their last 2 games didn't really have bigger expansions either.
However smaller scale addons/dlcs are entirely likely, but more on the realms of smaller cosmetic things and stuff like that...at least that's something Larian tended to do in the past...
There will probably also be a definite edition at some point, like with their other games, once they are done patching etc...

But all of that is speculation, based on past experiences. Nobody knows anything definitive.

If they could add a DM mode along with robust modding support we'd be golden.

That's all the community would need to take the future of BG3 into endless re-playability.

Modding support is coming, there's no doubt.
DM mode probably would be done if its only up to Larian, but potentially WoTC may have a say on that, and not want them to do it?
I wouldn't count too much on expansions. Whatever content they might still have to add is more likely to just come in a Definitive / GOTY edition.

I think they are more eager to move on to the next project, and given past record, it's likely they already have a very small team working on another thing.

His statement was made shortly after release is the key tho. No one expected BG3 to be this huge. Larian and the suits who own the baldur's gate license would be fools to make it a one and done deal.

That being said Larian studio deserves a good long break for sure and really no hurry as Baldur's Gate 3 continues to be talked about and selling like hotcakes on Steam this many months later.

At least i'd love it if we got other races and subclasses, along with maybe the two remaining classes from 5e.

Larian are not Ubisoft nor Activision-Blizzard with their "time-saver" DLC, horse armour, and the desire to squeeze every last penny from their players. I hope it remains that way.

Judging by the previous releases, the Definitive Edition and modding tools should come out in a year or so.

I certainly hope the modding tools don't take a year from the original release date, much less from now. That'd be a bummer.

It'd seem most or all of the major post-release patches are complete. Modding tools are hopefully the focus now and'll hit in, like, 1-3 months.

The easiest things to add would be new items, classes and races.

Dont own the game yet, but plan to. Is there a way to play a githzerai currently, or just the gith`yanki. Because I love githzerai and if that`s not a thing right now, that would be great as DLC along with the psi classes.

Definitive Edition, and that's probably it. Larian will move on to Divinity Original Sin 3.

The 2 "remaining" classes...I wouldn't count on them...one is Eberon content, the other homebrewed by Matt Mercer and Wildemount content. Both not native to the forgotten realms.
It would also mean a bit more involvement to have some class reactivity in the story...
So while certainly possible, I wouldn't hold my breath for that...

Artificer is eberon?
I thought it came in TCE?
The other class, honestly no idea what they mean. Mystic? Please no, if they mean mystic.
