This might have been typical exhaustion shortly after release, though, so take it with a grain of salt.
That said their last 2 games didn't really have bigger expansions either.
However smaller scale addons/dlcs are entirely likely, but more on the realms of smaller cosmetic things and stuff like that...at least that's something Larian tended to do in the past...
There will probably also be a definite edition at some point, like with their other games, once they are done patching etc...
But all of that is speculation, based on past experiences. Nobody knows anything definitive.
That's all the community would need to take the future of BG3 into endless re-playability.
DM mode probably would be done if its only up to Larian, but potentially WoTC may have a say on that, and not want them to do it?
I wouldn't count too much on expansions. Whatever content they might still have to add is more likely to just come in a Definitive / GOTY edition.
I think they are more eager to move on to the next project, and given past record, it's likely they already have a very small team working on another thing.
His statement was made shortly after release is the key tho. No one expected BG3 to be this huge. Larian and the suits who own the baldur's gate license would be fools to make it a one and done deal.
That being said Larian studio deserves a good long break for sure and really no hurry as Baldur's Gate 3 continues to be talked about and selling like hotcakes on Steam this many months later.

Judging by the previous releases, the Definitive Edition and modding tools should come out in a year or so.
It'd seem most or all of the major post-release patches are complete. Modding tools are hopefully the focus now and'll hit in, like, 1-3 months.
It would also mean a bit more involvement to have some class reactivity in the story...
So while certainly possible, I wouldn't hold my breath for that...
Thank God for that.
I thought it came in TCE?
The other class, honestly no idea what they mean. Mystic? Please no, if they mean mystic.
