The epilogue does not appear.
Hello everyone.
I've completed the game with the ending of destroying the brain even after patch 5, and at the end, I didn't see the epilogue. Then I looked up various endings on YouTube with the epilogue and mine is like the ones before the patch. Could it be that my decisions have influenced the fact that I can't play it? I've been an evil character at all times, betraying the good characters, becoming a Bhaal's assassin, etc.
I don't know if it's due to this, but my ending is the same (with various variations depending on my decisions) as that of all players before the last patch.

Thank you very much and greetings.

Wasn't it said that you need to load the save before the endbattle to see the epilogue.

"How to Start an Epilogue After the End of the Story

If players who have already completed the main story want to see the epilogue, they must open the last save before the final battle. After defeating the Netherbrain, a cutscene of the camp party organized by Withers will appear. It's worth noting that choosing to dominate the brain will instantly end the game without letting players enjoy the epilogue.

If players have not yet completed the main story of Baldur's Gate 3, make sure that the game is updated and move through the story. The epilogue should appear after defeating the final boss. Players should make sure they have the latest version of the game.

The epilogue takes place 6 months after the final battle. Withers's narrative emphasizes the connection between the characters, urging them to maintain a powerful bond as a formidable weapon for good."

Hello.

Only the control/destroy choice affects the presence of the epilogue, but the save file must be loaded from that point at the latest. If the save file is from the scene at the docks is loaded, then the epilogue doesn't trigger.

Yes, that's what I did. First, I achieved the "evil" ending by dominating the brain, and then I loaded the game to get the other ending, and both times were after the patch. I don't know if it's due to an error or simply because of my "bad" decisions.

Sounds like a bug. Could try to verify the files, clear the cache (C:/Users/(username)/AppData/Local/Larian Studios/Level Cache), and restart the PC.

I'll try it tonight. It could be a bug, as it seems very strange to me.
Thank you.

Well, no, none of this works either. I don't know what could have happened. Well, I'm going to start another game with a good character. Let's see if this time I can see the epilogue.

Sorry to hear.
Best of luck on the new playthrough.

Evil endings have no epilogue, sadly.
