How to recruit Minthara in a good campaign? She's not in Moonrise Towers.

I tried kinda trying everything, I already loaded the game almost 5 times to try again and again and she still dont appears in ACT II. First i killed the goblin priest, than I beated Minthara with non lethal atack after I tried to steal something (so she was temporarily hostile ), and than I killed the hobgoblin and saved Halsin.



The worst part is that took a lot of time (almost 30/50 minutes) between beat Minthara and find her in the towers. So i'm almost done with this but i'll try on more time at least.

It does work usually, so all you can do is replay where you beat her non lethally and see if that makes a difference.

Also her questline is quite rough so it might be worth waiting for another patch before you recruit her.

30 minutes? You got the Gith cresh, underdark, underdark2 across the sea, and the moonrise tower map before getting there. How in 30 minutes do you go from mid chapter 1 to nearly chapter 3

Run past the mobs at Githland with a pot of invisibility. Then follow karniss till he gets ambushed. If you’re good you probably want to help the Harpers. Then walk as close to moonrise docks(back entrance) as you can without taking damage. Switch to Shadowheart solo and have her make a dash for the docks since she has resistance to the curse. Once there just walk to the throne room and see if Minthy is there.

Keep in mind doing it in a good run makes you not have any of her act 1 scenes. Thkse scenes are by far her coolest.

skip the creche, its side content that really doesnt add anything outside of a handful of convos with the Elf Gremlin hybrids. Underdark can also be skipped entirely. Just head the direct way to shadowcursed lands and head straight to Moonrise tower. if everything worked then reload an earlier save where you didnt skip ahead. Its the method I use to test any mod that could break or bug something.

Weird, I'm sure I read that getting Minthara through a good run was completely patched out a while ago.

I mean I haven't tried myself. Has anyone successfully done this recently?

It is explicitely made possible by Larian now to recruit her on a "good playthrough".

Yes indeed, I just found it myself in the patch notes. That's interesting. I will have to try it :)

Previously there was a very roundabout way to get her, such as knocking her out, polymorth her, and dominate her lol. I'm guiessing Larian patched that out to implement a more logical way.

Yes, YOU can. But Minthara tells you that she refuses to return to previous areas if you save/recruit her at Moonrise. She stays in shadowcursed camp. You can return to act 1, creche, underdark, and grymforge without her. Quests you skipped from creche and grymforge areas at least should still be fully available / unstarted.

Once you go back to shadowcursed lands camp you can put her back in your party and continue.

As for getting it to "work," my guess is just make sure after knocking her out to completely resolve halsin's quests and make him return to the grove.

Maybe. It is hard for me to say. On the one hand I can understand why she unlikely appears in a good play through. On the other hand how it is now it has become quite the interesting story. Sad that it raises questions such as "what happens if you knock out the other Goblin leaders? why are they not on trial?" And would a good character really go all the way to save her for what she did? Her alignment does not change with that after all.

By the end of the day I consider the change a nice gimmick. I take it as "Larian's nod towards the community" for all the effort people came up with to break the game's logic to get her before.

So, there is no VALID, non-exploit way to recruit minthara during good playtrough? I have knocked her out at goblin camp, yet she did not appeared at Moonrize
