In Honour mode however, it's not a true full action anymore, which is closer to how it works in regular 5e D&D. Now, if you can take multiple attacks with one action, you only get 1 of those attacks with the hasted action.
However, you can still cast another spell using the hasted action, which is not possible in regular 5e D&D.
Hope this helps :>
In Honor Mode you won't get extra attacks like you would normally using it.
That's my understanding.
Also, that extra action can be used for basically anything else too, be it activate a non-basic attack based ability that costs a full action, like an illithid power for example.
Bonus action spell, action spell, hasted spell, action surge spell, mind sanctuary bonus action spell, quickened spell
Pick any combination of the above.
At level 5, my Sorc was throwing 3 Fireballs per round in Honour with a Scroll and two Spell slots. Have to long rest more frequently but it's worth it.
If you multiclass into two levels of fighter for Action Surge, for instance.
Even in tabletop, which doesn't allow casting spells with the extra action from Haste, a fighter-2/(any caster) can cast spells with both the regular action and the Action Surge'd action; in addition to potentially w/ reaction and bonus action, and possibly additional spells (e.g. Wild Magic triggering).
