Bow randomly gone from inventory?

I gave asterion the sparky bow you get from the burning inn quest, and then played a but more and logged of. When I ,loaded the save he had no ranged weapon equipped and the bow was gone. Went to merchants and still no bow. Anyone else just lose equipped weapons?

If he was in a fight and was disarmed he may have dropped it. If you don't catch where it falls it can be pretty hard to find. Lost many a good sword and bow this way

I have a similar bug happening in my honor mode play through where my equipped weapons turn into random useless items and there has been nothing I can do about it. It is very frustrating to have your everburn blade just randomly become a useless 1 handed wooden club.

This seems pretty accurate for missing items.

Items that have disappeared from me happened because I moved an item in my inventory to the top most row I can see, and even though that row was full the items weren't loaded in, so the item I moved to a specific part in that row disappeared and was overtaken by the item I moved to the top row. (Yes this might sound like a mouthful). The item that disappeared was a very rare armor that I very much wanted to keep and so I had to reload 15min or so back.

Annoying bug but this is a game where you have to keep many saves because you never know what game breaking or important item destroying bug will appear. Couldn't imagine playing Honour mode with all the hard to explain bugs in this game.
