FYI: Minthara doesnt appear in Moonrise Tower when you K.O her. (Current Patch)
Started a new playtrough, knocked her out and saved the druid grove -> arrived in Moonrise Tower and Minthara isn't there. The current patch should allow you to do that saveing the druid grove and recruit Minthara at the same time - propably bugged atm.

From what I read it has to do with how the flag for her knockout is set. I.e if she's classified as "temporarily hostile", she'll show up. If she's proper hostile, she won't.
Can't confirm or deny that myself though.

Are you sure you did it right? Because I have Minthara recruited on my current playthrough, on the current patch.

FYI yes she does , I had her in my playthrough along Halsin and she was also my romance companion.

Yes.

EDIT: But i have to say i already had a bad feeling about that playtrough, because when i left for Halsin and phased back into the "main map" of the temple her knocked out body disappeard

Could try that out but pushing again trough idk 20 to 40 hours of gameplay just to see if it worked is kinda meh ... if its only possible to recruit her like this they should have specify the recruitment process in the patch imo.

Did you attacked her before you engaged in a convo with her or convo -> started fight -> knock out?

I did the exact same thing, talking to her then fighting her and knocking her out, and I can say she wasn't there. I'm pretty sure this is bugged and not working how it's intended

if you talk to her, it doesnt work. Bugged for sure. Stealing something near her i think gets you the right flags, ive seen people mention that working for them

Was she Temporary Hostile or just hostile? Asking, because only the former results in her moving to the Moonrise Towers. Unfortunately, it is not clearly communicated that she must be attacked first and without talking to.

I killed the goblin next to her without talking to her then knocked her out then killed the rest of the goblin camp

I have three honor mode playthroughts. In two out of three Minthara survies being knocked out. In the third one she dies. So appearently it can work, but does not always work. I always talked to her along with Sazza before knocking her out. What happened differently in my third playthrough is 1. for some reason I got the dagger as a reward unlike in the other 2 playthroughs and 2. I think I might have attacked a different character first (e.g. one time I might've attacked Minthara first and another time I might've started the fight with the goblin general nearby). I also had Nettie die after knocking he out in one of my playthroughs so it can happen to various characters, dunno why.

You can talk to her first, just don't THREATEN her.
You must KO her with her being temp hostile, or it doesn't work.
Lots of folks are saying it matters when you talk to Halsin, or when you take LRs afterward, these variables leave me with question marks.
Mods MIGHT be interfering with this for some people (I think I'm one).

All in all, said many times... should be less convoluted.

Minthara is not bugged but you have to recruit her correctly. Steal the scroll from her table to make her temp hostile and knock her out.

I succeeded at recruiting her in Act 2 after saving the grove. I did this by not even speaking to her at the goblin camp and I attacked the floating eye when its patrol route put it in front of her. She has to be made temporary hostile and attacking her directly will make her full hostile. It seems to have to be something other than her. You also need to avoid long resting. Any characters that are knocked out temporarily will wake after you long rest. So its best to avoid doing it until the end of the celebrations at your camp after you have killed the other 2 leaders and reported to either Halsin or Zevlor that you "killed" the leaders. That triggers the party at your camp. Then you long rest at your camp. She should appear at moonrise as if you sided with her. Halsin can be free but do not let him accompany you. That makes her turn hostile. tell him to wait in the dungeon where you freed him.

The Long Rest part works like this: the quest script for Halsin demands to deal with all three leaders and conclude the Emerald Grove issue. The moment you long rest with your party, the knocked out status of a character ends. Minthara will no longer count as "eliminated" in that new state. You would have to go back and deal with her again - but that kind of game mechanic does not exist where you could "kill" aka deal with one entity again and again. Hence the long rests leads to the game "cleaning up the loophole by killing her as intended by the script".

Talking to Halsin first some mentioned it is not needed. But I recommend it to ensure that his quest's triggers correctly. And of course mods will interfer with it. Remember what the modfixer e.g. is supposed to do. Recompiling the story to make mods work. The first part of that naturally can lead to script issues, in particular when it is about a loophole which is technically a bug left behind intentionally by the developers.
