My Honor Mode run ended because of a bug...
Be careful sneaking up on Flind, the Gnoll Warlord, and the other gnolls. Through some combination of actions, Flind will initiate conversation with you but that dialogue will immediately end and leave your game softlocked. You won't be able to attack, move, continue the conversation--nothing. Except, in honor mode, since you can't reload a previous save, your game is actually now hardlocked and your run is over. This bug has been reported long before honor mode existed and it clearly still hasn't been fixed.

I'm fuming after spending all this time for it to be completely wasted.

Any other game-breaking bugs an honor mode player should be aware of?

Since when can't you reload in Honor Mode? What are saves for, then?

When you quit the game, it saves. Saves aren't really a thing in honor mode since you just resume exactly where you left off. There is no backtracking at all.

taskkill /f /im bg3_dx11.exe
That's the only safe way to quit the game without it saving, and you can't reload from main menu.

Can cheese it by shutting your power offand then rebooting. Avoids the save on quit.

I appreciate the workarounds given. Unfortunately, I already closed the game normally, so there goes my playtime. *sigh* I'm done with this game for awhile. If I come back, I'll be sure to apply these cheesing methods. Thanks for the knowledge.

Switch to another character in dialogue using the buttons in bottom left.
then Attack the gnoll , it should break the dialogue

I had to do it with other conversations that get stuck .....
Attack the speaker....
You can also shove your companion out of conversation range ...with unpredictable results..

Not possible. All characters are stuck, unable to do anything at all.

This game isn't nearly bug free enough to justify an ironman mode.

ALWAYS keep backup saves.

That didn't work for me, it broke my save and turned it into custom difficulty.

It's also risking doing damage to your computer. Sure, the vast majority it will be fine, but still you shouldn't do it.

Yup, I see this as one of the main bugs in Honor Mode runs. Sucks. Do it again though. Gotta accept that bugs are part of any Ironman run.

I think these bugs totally dissuaded me from honour mode. I am a bit pissed at Larian for now allowing Legendary actions in a custom/tactician game.
