Tricking Minthara
Maybe I misunderstood, but the narrator seemed to suggest I could trick her into leading an attack on the druid grove, where an ambush would be waiting. I made the Deception check to point to a wrong place on the map, but she just replied that the area had already been checked.
I tried to simply play along, pointing to the grove and saying I'd join her (I thought maybe the mechanism was to let me turn on her upon arrival), but the game then dealt my paladin a fall from grace.
I had already freed the prisoner when I had this conversation. Do I need to go off an warn the druids myself, THEN talk to Minthara?

Visiting the grove first would be a good idea.

You can.

You can tell Minthara where the grove is, and then tell her you are going to go inside and raise the gate for her. And then you can either do it (double-crossing the grove) or not do it (double-crossing Minthara).

Pretty sure either way would count as a lie that would break a Paladin oath.

If you want to sneak around and lie to people, maybe you shouldn't be a paladin.

Fair. But I was a bit confused, because an option to get Lae'Zel out of that cage with a lie was marked [Paladin].
