New to mods.

Hey ppl, i havent tried mods for BG3 yet at all.
Mostly playing Honour Mode atm and just wondering if mods in any way break the game for achievements or such, even if just cosmetic?

Mods disable achievements, yes.
AFAIK (never modded myself though) there is a mod that restores achievements tho. Use at your own risk tho, of course.

There is a mod that enables achievements when the game is modded.

That depends on the mods. The tips mentioned here might help you since you are new to mods

but it does not take into consideration that you want achievements. For that check the modding websites for solutions.

No, no mods of any nature allow you to get achievements, unless they are not installed via mod manager. (I think some "drag and drops" don't trigger this.) All of them, dice skins, cosmetic, QoL. As well as gameplay and cheats.

As stated above, there is another mod at Nexus that will override in turn this restriction, and allow you to use mods and get achievements. I don't care, as I don't care about achievements. But, it's there.

If you're going to use mods, download the BG3 Mod Manager, and make sure you install the BG3 Script Extender through its menus (via Tools->Download & Extract the Script Extender). Then go into the Settings->Preferences->Script Extender tab and make sure the Script Extender setting "Enable Achievements" is active. Then you should be able to get achievements while having mods active.

Also make sure you launch BG3 through the "Launch Game" button in the Mod Manager.
