Tried Installing No Party Size limit mod...
But after I install it from Nexus Mods using Vortex - I cant click on anything and get a response. Clicking on NPC does not trigger dialog. Clicking on items does nothing. almost like the mod prevents interaction.

Any thoughts?

oh i just realize you using vortex which does not include script extender. You need to install script extender or just use bg3 mod manager.

Try the mod forum for the mod on nexus. They would be able to tell you exactly about any issues with the mod.

I've used a couple of the party size mods in the past, and they worked for the most part. I'm about to go back to mods myself, so not sure what works and what doesn't at this point.

Can you link the nexus mod you are using?

Not a trustworthy mod. Do not use it.

Party Limit Begone works fine for me. The Legacy version requires putting it into a folder, and not doing it via mod manager. If you're on Windows, you shouldn't be using it. I just can't personally as I am on a Mac which doesn't run Script Extender. The newer (2.0) version is script based, works via script extender, and is supposed to be even more stable; and is a PAK file that can be installed via a mod manager.

If it's PLB you're using, yeah, if you need help the best you will get is at that mod's Forum, or more likely, its Bug Report section. The Legacy version requires manual installation. And any version in multiplayer will require you to patch and backup the app itself.

All versions have issues, worst is probably Grymforge boat bug, and is easily worked around. Don't get on the boat with more than 4 party members. Solved. Also, sometimes you may need to click on companions not by the fire after the LR to "wake up" properly. As for an issue it was creating for me in House of Hope, I now know the best workaround for it.

You need to install baldurs gate 3 mod fixer from nexus. Mod fixer is a hard requirement when you install any mods.
seeker1 Jan 9, 2024 @ 12:47pm
To repeat, since it is PLB,

1. Don't use the Legacy version unless you have to. (I do.)
2. Use a mod manager to install the new 2.0 version. It also requires script extender, so make sure that is also installed. It won't work properly without script extender.

And no, it does NOT require BG3 mod fixer, which MIGHT bork your Epilogue. At this point just about all mods have been updated to work without it, or have it incorporated. (Because of said issue, this can be another frustration, but I digress.)

recommend BG3MM aand the scripted version of Party Limit Begone
seeker1 Jan 9, 2024 @ 12:55pm
Correct, if you have Mod Fixer and Script extender updated to the latest version, the Epilogue should work fine for you. For people for whom condition #2 is not true, it can still block the Epilogue. Just so you know, the BG3 Mod Manager for WIndows (dunno about Vortex) does that automatically.

For me, mods containing Mod Fixer appear to be blocking the epilogue for me, as I am on a Mac, and CAN'T use Script Extender. I have never used Mod Fixer as a standalone as it appears to be unnecessary. Still, it appears embedded in other mods -- I can't see which ones. I know the solution even for Mac. Load a save without any mods, and the Epilogue will play. Since I have no saves without mods and the effort to create one near endgame are too much of a PITA, I won't do this. I'll wait until some other solution appears, or continue to be satisfied watching the Epilogue on youtube. There are things I care about more.

I am not surprised.

Spitballing here, but I'm betting this COULD be a problem of it not being compatible with the latest Hotfix. (Which I won't see for 2 weeks, but I digress.)

IF so, you might need to wait on an update. Allow me to note one of the downsides of modding: patches and hotfixes can break your mods and require them to be updated.

As others have said, the best place to find info and/or get help are at the Bug Report forums of PLB at Nexus.
