very limited about spells and dont get choice from and is used bonus actions, Armor
Main Focus of this class is very limited magics you earn every odd level 1-3-5-7-9-11 that is forced upon you. how magic isn't focus of this job
Armorer is able have like allowed make constuct armors that they can fit themselfs in kinda like ironman
Artillierist allows them place turrents on feild and traps deal deal big damage. Battlesmith like a ranger has a robotic pet gets stronger and can create items for your party
Alchemist - creates fun items you can make cause explosives has good healing kit mixed withd amage spells
Over all artificers scale intelligence but each one is stat'd differently
Thanks. 1. I can read the 5E class description online and have. 2. The class mod available at Nexus has all 4 of those subclasses. Tried them all, alchemist seemed to be the worst, artillerist ended up being my favorite. Because you can't just go by the source descriptions, you have to see how the modder ended up implementing them within the framework of the existing game. This requires changes. And they even documented what those were in descriptions of the mod.
The Nexus mod has a "12 levels" version which compresses some Artificer class attainments into only 12 levels; I'm using the lvl 20 version which is the default, because I have Unlock Level Curve, and can take my Artificer to lvl20. Also, it's extremely dependent on the 5E spells addon, or you will be missing some of the best spells an Artificer can get.
It does not have attunements.
The Battle Smith can summon what seems to be a "mini" version of the Steel Defender.
The Alchemist "hooks" into the in-game alchemy system. I was really curious if that meant if it could make better grenades than you normally get with standard alchemy, but AFAICS, the answer is no.
The Armorer can make what I would call "Iron Man" suits of armor with force projectors.
But as I said, I best like the Artillerist, which can use firearms (which then in turn become available at merchants), later on can summon a personal arcane cannon, (baasically a blaster rifle), and also summon a larger arcane cannon which floats around like mobile artillery and looks like those cannons at the Underdark Arcane Tower. Probably the best model assets available in the game for it.
