Sinister door help

Today is the first time I'm trying to do Cazador's palace. I have the ring, the dictionary. I tried using knock first, then interacting. I tried unequipping anything with radiant. I dropped the two needed items and picked them back up. I have long rested since first trying the door.

what am i missing?

Hi the same error is happening to me, I have the book and the ring, I had to get it by killing the skeleton, because it told me that I had lost it. And when I want to open the door, I only get the option to recite the words from the book, but not to place the ring.

I've had each of them read it and try at this point, also while wearing the ring

I'm the same, it only lets me say the phrase, and the worst thing is that I have the ring in my inventory, but it's like it doesn't count.

No he tells me to get up there already, I convinced him that I was tasked with bringing astarion for the ritual

A friend recently tried the same part, he was with Karlach and Shadowheart, I'll try that

Are you playing on hotfix 16? if so there are bug from opening the door. Not only that door but many places where quest item are needed and they just won't work. Happened with me at a temple, guess we wil have to wait until an update come in

Hey ! Got the same issue happening here, the quest updates when i pick up the book and read it but doesn't when i pick up the ring, so the game probably considers that i don't have the ring or something. I've tried to pick things up in a different order but nothing changes, got nothing from reloading the game either.

Obviously an issue. My post about the exact same thing was just below yours. Still no solution in my game.

They updated how quest items are categorized to make them "more accessible" Ooop..... definitely seems related to the hot fix today, infernal iron is also not being counted the right way it seems

It's an issue.

You can open the door with Arcane Lock tho, but you'll need the ring in the next doors (which you can bypass using Gaseous form), so the best option would be to wait until a new hotfix :(
