Yes. You are ready. You might still encounter one tough battle, but you are prepared for that. :MHRISE_OK:

The hardest fight is before you even get to Mountain Pass, if you decide to fight. At level 5 it should be a tough fight but past that point you're fine.

Yes at level 5 you are more than ready.
In my head going to the Mountain Pass before clearing out the underworld areas is the real canon.

Level 5 might be anywhere from challenging to easy difficulty for that one fight everyone's referencing, depending on your specific build.

Level 6 would make it a cakewalk, so I reccomend trying to go there first as Level 5.

Level 5 is 'the right level' for the majority of players on normal mode to deal with the Githyanki patrol before the mountain pass.
For the Rosymorn monastery Githyanki, I'm normally level 6, having done all of the underdark before getting here.
In the gith patrol fight much depends on what your characters do and who goes where in order of initiative preference. You will be wanting to take down Sarth Baretha first, as she is capable of wrecking two of your party in one go, if you are unlucky. Her Int is low (+0 bonus), wisdom (+!), dex (+2), con (+2), but Char is +3 and Str is +4, so she won't be easy to shove

My recommendation would be to complete the Underworld and any of the 'upper' world that you have not done. And also Grymforge in the Underworld as well. Ideally, as a player on their first run, you would want to be Lvl 6, almost Lvl 7 before you transition into Act 2.

Note that once you do transition into Act 2, many of the quest lines that were still active for Act 1 will auto-complete as 'failed'. So you want to be sure to finish any of those up before you go. You will still be able to go back to Act 1 areas from Act 2, but some quests will be closed off to you. There will be a warning before going to Act 2, pay attention to that warning.

Good Luck
