Computers cannot do actual random numbers, they have to use a program for it which puts it outside of rng range. Additionally most of these programs have built in balance for the rolls to prevent long runs of any result. Not real Rng and now you know!
That's why I have an RNG service which takes a webcam feed as input which is pointed at an array of lava lamps.
Also what you're saying is BS, no such balancing is required ever. Programs simply use a seed based on the computer's timer in milliseconds, and that is enough.
Also all of this is BS, everyone understands what the guy meant by RNG and delving into it like this is complete nonsense.
Start a new save in story mode, you get way more hit points so the battles aren't nearly as tricky if the story is what is driving you to play (which is cool!). Some battles do still take a little thought, though. At lower levels you do kinda suck at a lot but you get way better fairly quickly as you skill up. Maybe have a look at some character build suggestions if you want a better power output. Wyll is actually rather effective - doesn't miss nearly as much as Shart. LOL
Not sure if you know but people can hide their games lists and stats now. :)
Only the beginning of Act 1 is remotely challenging. Mostly because the game expects you to do everything in a certain order without ever telling you the order. The moment you hit level 5 and onward the difficulty drops to basically nothing though. By act 3 you won't even bother thinking, just smash and faceroll.
BG3 is basically a campaign designed for a level 4-8 party, with a 1-12 level range. If you know where to go when you'll hit level 4 super fast though, and from there on it's downhill.
While it does take a seed it then feeds that seed into a psuedo random number generator it is not true RNG eventually it would repeat. Anywho! I think stuff like this is fun, and it never hurts to have an idea of how things work under the hood.
It will not repeat because it takes a new seed, based on the computer's timer in milliseconds, every time a new random number is created.
The more you know, had not thought of it that way.
