Can confirm Helldusk Armor is avaible in Act I Raphael glitch.
Use Elixir of Enlarge and dual-weapons to bring him down.
He has 825 HP in Honor Mode.

You can use whatever you like as he'll just stand and take as much or as little damage you hit him with on each attack as long as he's silenced.

Only thing to watch out for is if you have or had an otherbreaker paladin in your party as the oathbreaker knight will not take kindly to Rafael being attacked. There's at least one way around that though.

Hm, when I bonked raphael in act 1, he just disappeared and refused to show up again. Whats the setup to kill him act 1?

After you have 'bonked him' at his first appearance* and so made him disappear, you wait until you first enter the Mountain Pass.

That triggers you going to your camp, where Rafael will appear again. Don't speak with him but cast silence around him. Then make sure you have the passive set to non-fatal. After which, you beat on him until his health drops to 1, which will take a couple of minutes. Because he is silenced, he won't disappear.

Once he's on the ground, loot him for items including the Helldusk Armour and 100-300 gold.

He'll get up again after a few seconds with 1 health and you can knock him down again, after which you can loot 100-300 gold and some food from him. Rinse. Repeat.

(* Check out the YouTube videos that show him being hit the first time. I don't know how important that process is or whether you can simply hit him once).

Much as I hate Raphael and love a good cheesy exploit, wow, this really appears to be one.

Fascinating, good to know, thanks.

Wait what happens if you don't turn on non lethal... does he simply die right there and then?

I'll just wait for them to patch it.

This is million times easier than Voss Glitch also. Only requirement is you do Tiefling resolve because it will resolve it for the player if you go to mountain pass.
