i mean the natural way is just go around, kill things, and sell them

the cheese strat is to steal gold from merchants, run away, and then use gold to buy.

if you just sell of everything you dont need you'll always be wealthy.
Exploit ways or legit ways? Lol

Legit way? Loot EVERYTHING! You'll have more then you know what to do with... now do you want some exploit ways to make money? Lol

i loot everything on map and have like 500 golds worth of items, no way to buy expensive weapon/armor/accessories

Aside from the looting and selling everything and stealing, try donating.

Switch to barter and try giving them a bunch of junk for free to improve their attitude and get a discount.

if the merchant likes you, the price changes. Various things affect it, like your race, what you have done for the person, giving them stuff for free, probably charm spells (not sure)... there is a meter on each one... if you need a big ticket item, it may be worth giving them some rubbish to make them like you more or looking into the spell angle or trying a high cha person to talk at them.

if you looted everything on the map you'd have thousands of gold, for sure.

explore more, kill more things, sell the magical items you don't need.

When we say "everything" we do mean "EVERYTHING". If it can be picked up, it's fair game (well, maybe taking containers is overkill). Items worth 1 gold are technically the best value, since you always get 100% of their worth. Weapons, armor, and jewelry/gems will be the stuff getting you the most money.

Also make sure to always start the bartering with the character with the highest Persuasion, even if you have to fetch Wyll from camp

it should be noted that while everything does have value, armor, unless its magic tends to be a suckers game, its the highest weight to return there is, your better off throwing them out in place of other stuff if your starting to get filled up.

CORRECTION... ANYTHING is too expensive. And when it's us who's selling... Dirt cheap. 30 years of RPG'eing and nobody fixed economics yet. That's why I have no moral issues with stealing merchants dry and save scumming during the proccess... Economics are bugged, so save scumming and stealing solves the bug

Tried that (Wyll into bartering), same prices as with my 8 charisma main character...

I've gotten a lot of gold from armor, and carrying it is hardly a problem if you're a STR character (or when you can magically teleport anything you want to camp and pick it up later)

(plus you got 4 characters to carry stuff)

Usually I find CRPG economics are broken the other way - you get limitless money and don't have much to buy since the best stuff usually isn't from merchants.

There are a few nice things here at least

it can be a lot of values but consider that leather armor weighs like 9 pounds and sells for 40gp whereas a longsword is 3 pounds for the same price. 3 swords per leather armor.

i will correct myself and say you can 100% send everything to camp until you can loot everything, you are right.

I am starting act 3, I have lots of trash to sell and 22000gp in cash. Still... If I started buying honestly from merchants and not stealing from them I'd go bankrupt after buying a handfull or two of high level scrolls just for financing my spell caster's education.

So some exploits here as follows use these to help if you wish.

There are some gloves of stealing somewhere give advtage on sleight of hand they help alot.

Talk to withers make some hirlings, make em all rouges put skills in light of hand +7 give em 1 level if cleric for guidance (this may or may not do anything idk) bring them alone and steal small stuff or money stacks, if you can reload it works well if not keeping them alone only makes people angry at the expandable hireling! Send everything back to camp right after taking it!

Bonus points to steal the whole shop, give the shop keep 400 gold with a new lvl 1 character! This will max them out in friendship, sell them a crate! Go into barter shift click all items move to crate, lvl up once refresh inventory shove everything into the crate! Do this till you heart is happy! Or if you just want magic items add them only to the crate. Now cast feign death on the merchant, take the crate send it to camp and vamoose that hiring, make sure not to be seen but no rolls needed lol
