Investigate the beach quest
Hi folks.
It seems like I can't finish the investigate the beach quest properly.

I successfully saved Mirkon from the harpies, he's telling me to go to Doni. I found the secret entrance before I started the quest, but didn't enter the camp.
When I talk to Doni now, I only get the choice to either say hello or leave, but nothing happens. I don't get the option to say the password. If I enter the camp now, Mol isn't happy to see me, because I scared Silfy away and somehow the quest now seems to be locked for me, or I'm just too dumb to do the right thing.

Please help. Thanks.

Well known bug that hasn't been addressed. Various fixes can be found in search. None of them guaranteed.

And did you do the OTHER half of the quest to get inside and speak properly with Moi?

What do you mean with speak propery?
I went into the camp, but Mol doesn't even mention, I saved Mirkon.

Nope. Not talking about Mirkon and the Harpy quest. There is another . . .

You mean saving the tiefling child? Yes, I did complete it successfully.

Ok. And when you caught the pickpocket, did you cut him some slack? Or punish him?

IIRC, I did not punished him, yet he got scared. I can't tell what I did exactly, though. My guess would he I failed a mind reading check.

Did you actually use a Mind Reading spell on him? Or just did not pass a normal DC check?

The latter, I'd say. I didn't cast a spell at least, just had the dialogue option.

You should have been fine. Does restoring a save before the last trigger do anything? Or taking a Long Rest?

No, to the saves. The long rest I'll have to find out tomorrow.
It's a bit unhappy, because I never cared before about Mol and now trying to find out, where it is heading.

Ok. I am assuming here that you have done the Verify Files dance.

Are there any Mods being used?

Good Luck for Tomorrow. I hope it can get resolved.

I did the usual steam stuff. And until now, I did not even know, there are mods for baldurs gate 3.😅

Hold on. Did you already detect the entry door or use the small hole to get into the hideout? I think once you are in, you no longer need the password as you can exit through the secret door. If I remember correctly, once you have found your way in, the password thing no longer is available.

So, now the question becomes did you sneak in through the hole (or use the secret door) *before* completing the two quests that are needed to pacify Moi. And if so, when you spoke to her, did she tell you to get lost (in essence)?

That may have been the path to not being able to befriend her after the two prerequisite quests were completed.
