Is it a bad idea to have a Wizard, Sorcerer and a Warlock in the same party?
I'm about to start my second campaign and wanted to play Sorcerer, but I also want my buddy Gale to be in my party and Wyll, who I didn't use at all in my first playthrough. Would 3 spellcasters be a good idea at all? I don't even know who'd be responsible for the healing. I wanted Lae'zel as the 4th member but I feel like I'd have to go with Life Cleric Shadowheart.

anything that works is not a bad idea. The warlock isn't really a spell caster: you only get 2/rest so you pretty much HAVE to rely on melee or EB which isnt really true spell casting.
Your problem is simply that if everything goes wrong, you will lack the health to take even 1 round of hits after mid-act-2. And, sometimes, everything WILL go wrong, like getting silenced and knocked down in it etc.

That said trade the wizard out for a light-cleric to heal and nuke both, or a bard, or a druid. All of those can do both healing and damage spells. Even generic cleric can nuke some, light just adds a little more.

You can spec lazel to anything, her background doesn't really define her class, unlike the others, so its not as immersion breaking, though bard seems ... off :) You can also just have the sorcerer take a the magic feat:bard and pick up healing spells. Most of your healing will be from standing in a tight circle dropping potions out of combat.... in combat you just need 1 or 2 with a long range 'don't be dead' quick heal.

edit:
Either they bugfixed it, or I am remembering it wrong. The magic initiate stuff is no longer hooking the new spells into your main spells, so you can't take it and then cast like heal wounds 4 times as a sorcerer. I really, really remember doing that, but maybe I was confused and actually had 1 level of bard instead. That still works (1 level of bard or whatever).

Nah.

You can play anything you want to.

Hm. Character-wise, she's very much a Proud Warrior Race character with ambitious of being a dragon-riding champion of it, so... if you don't keep her as a fighter, then a vengeance paladin (given that we don't have conquest paladin) seems appropriate.

Monk works too.

I love Sorcerers and Wizards. However, I find them to be weak early-game. Get ready to rest all the time. My Sorcerer was the weak-link until the end-game. But then she was awesome. Once I got to Baldur's Gate, I brought Gale on board as well. I think 2x mages synergize well with each other and well with 2x fighters.

if it works it works, simple as that, you do have a little overlap between your sorc and wizard, as they share very similar roles, but its not like it matters

Have one with skill 6 shield and buffs/rebuff while the other is a glass cannon. Can have some really fun builds with Wiz/Sorc.

That's what I do. I have Gale do the utility / cc stuff and the big aoe damage then my sorcerer does a double haste on my melee and herself and blasts away. I also use a lot of scrolls with my sorcerer.

Good point. I had and used lvl 6 scrolls liberally during the end-game. You can't upcast them and your DC applies, so why not.

I regularly run a full party of casters. I get very bored with melee and archers. Casters get the job done just fine. Just make sure you build them to be strong casters. Don't multi-class them.

Honestly taking lae'zel with that team would work well 'cause you need someone to go around killing everyone that's been CC'd into oblivion
What is CC'd?
