Otherwise you can use Enhance Ability from Clerics or Bards to get advantage on charisma checks and guidance from clerics to get 1d4 on checks.
If you want easy going on that front go for Bard, Sorcerer or Paladin. You could also help yourself by having a Bard and Cleric in your party. That way they can support your Ranger with spells and you can keep playing that class.
Failing can be fun, and as suggested the smart player will use their individual team members to their strengths rather than their weaknesss
It basically makes it so that the party's bonuses are added to the modifier. So if you have, say, a Charismatic Paladin in the party... His/Her bonuses get added to any chars rolls.
I am running this in a co-op campaign as my friend the host is a Hunter with a -1 to basically all conversation rolls, while I'm a Paladin so... Yeah. I don't want to do all the conversations for him so this is a perfect solution.
I just can't stand the -1 on charisma that a 8 cha would net me.
Dialogue success is better than any thing.
