Ended up killing hag early
It is actually possible to save everyone in her lair including the knights with cursed mask and two guys in the first area turned to stone and other hallucinating.
I never knew was possible since she always seems to port out mid battle. Also remember hearing people trying to save the knights by knocking them out and removing mask which ultimately kills them. Like there was never a way to save them.
What I did was avoid talking about the girl she had trapped. If you do she ends up porting her somewhere else while she stays in her hut. I ended up touching her hidden door on the fireplace. Which triggered her to be hostile then killed her on my first round with all my characters.
Not sure If I got lucky killing her in the first round or if she actually fights you in her hut. Seeing before you were on a goal to rescue the girl. Which may have changed the hags subroutines. Which is usually porting back to the captured girl while waiting for you to rescue her.

Don't you miss out on the +1 ability buff by doing this?

There are more options of how this can go. You can get her to fight you still in her teahouse also by teling Mayrina that she killed her brothers, but you do only have one round to kil her, so it may not be that easy. She leaves for her lair after the first round.

But even if she does, you can still save everyone (who is not already dead). You need to knock the masks out but you can't remove their masks. That will kill them. But if you go kill her without removing their masks, they will survive (although 3 of them are crazy anyways). You also save the petrified guy and the mirror guy this way.

Never tried, pretty sure you can just blow her up with barrels in the hut.

Yeah, but depending on the difficulty you play on, it may not be that big of a deal. And if you want to save as many people as possible, you have to kill her. And as a paladin with Oath of the Ancients you can't even take this deal without breaking your oath.

This is the only fight I ever "cheese". Since my first play through till now this is the one fight I despise. Don't know why, just I hate the swamp area. You can actually have her go more than one round before she teleports away not using lock.

Pop open her front door use command spell approach. Back down the stairs she comes outside, hit her with another character. If you dont get her in the first round she still teleports but not far enough to escape, which after that you take her out.

To me the +1 ability isn't that big a deal to miss out on. I am just ready to get the hell out of the swamp asap. LOL I do Khaga's quest, take out the redcaps and then go after the Hag. Then talk to the monster hunter, never ever have to go back again.

Edit:
Have done it on Tactician and Honor modes this way as well. I don't even want to think about what it would have been like down in her lair on these settings :)
On Honor Mode I did have to go take a long rest after The Khaga Quest or Redcaps, can't remember where I went and rested.

I usually do the hag much later than Kagha's quest, only after the Goblin camp, so it is probably easier by then.

Do you know if those knights show up during act 3? The ones wearing the masks? one of them mentioned going after the hag, so curious if they actually do during act 3,

Idk, actually. In my first playthrough I killed all the masks and I'm not there yet in my current, where they survived.
No biggie just curious if got there yet.

Yeah she never begs for her life which triggers that. Maybe will pay off during Act 3 after saving the masked knights.

Arcane lock is great against the gith in their creche too. Cast something like hunger of hadar behind the doors and then arcane lock the doors. The gith will all try to break through the door while standing in the area affect of hunger. Most will be dead, or near death, by the time they break down the door. It's actually the only use I've found for that spell.
.. this is why implementing TT-originated game ruleset into a CRPG will always be prone to issues. Imagine this scenario in a TT? DM would probably look at such a player like on an idiot before laughing in something like "they push the hidden button and alert the whole location before busting down the door with spells and swarming the party" ..

Well if it's legit, a DM might allow it under a Rule of cool!
But in this case the staircase being locked probably not, however I think the staircase is attached to a door, but because games don't know how to pathfind once events trigger lol
I think any normal DM would just make it a shade or fake, or have her run to the mushroom circle out back instead, if she was that important xD

On the other hand, they could alter her to just go full mode right there start duplicating and real fighting. I know people go on about "but you won't get her buff" but it's only a +1 to a single character which is alright but not that good, unless you are Uber min maxing

There is without defeating her upstairs: Knock them out and DON'T remove their masks.

I mean, if you're playing a character with good aligned morals you're going to miss out on it anyway. Sparing her is an objectively evil decision.
