What can you do with a heart that is resistant to fire ? I thought there could be some task to save Karlach ?

You can gather quite a few more pieces of that special iron from several places, but Dammon won't do anything with them after he's made those two adjustments to Karlach and made those three Infernal items. Seems like there was an idea of possibly saving her from a bad or bittersweet end that never came to fruition.
