Tell us you have zero ideas how the engine works without telling us you have zero ideas how the engine works.
Have you ever tried to pause the game? There's a reason it doesn't pause even in turn-based mode. (Events outside the TB range continue to process regardless, causing encounters to happen or to expand when trying to pause using TB.) This is because a single player session in Divinity is a multiplayer session with just one player. It saves so much time on development and support like that.
A little too aggressive don't you think? I didn't even say this game sucks. I certainly don't know in detail how this graphics engine works, but games like Assassin's Creed, Cyberpunk and many others have this mode and consequently I don't see why it isn't included in other games like Elden Ring itself and this one (provided they are played offline or in single player). Let's be less Know-it-all , it can be done and now that Baldur's Gate 3 is more than consolidated, perhaps they can use the time they saved by not inserting this feature (and the mirror for example) for a future patch.
Also game has no anticheat or something like that, but you disable receiving achievements when you use mods. There's however a mod to re-enable the achievements again.
Native camera tweaks is the only mod you really need to be able to zoom in and reposition the camera... WASD controls can help you position your characters a bit easier, but isn't necessary.
The F12 and F10 buttons hide the interface and snap screenshots, which you can do right now without mods. The mods just gives you better camera controls. There are also dozens of reshade mods to change the color balance (of the game, not just the picture) if that is something you want to explore.
