You also should know if you're doing Honor Mode for achievements. using mods disables them. (Unless you use another mod to correct the problem).
Finally, equipment mods are the hardest to uninstall, as they create instances of objects in the game, which when you load that save without the mod, it no longer recognizes.
BTW, it may not "work" (what went wrong?) but a save containing that mod might open again if you re-enable it.
tried that, didn't work.
boy i sure wish i knew literally any of this before sinking so many hours into a doomed save file
I recommend contacting the author. Bear in mind, modders are usually doing this for nada so don't expect a lot of support. But if they host on Nexus, you have to be able to reach them. Might try their forum.
That's on you. Modding a game already known for it's notorious honour mode bugs, crashes and glitches leading to a run ending immediately without hope of recovery - without any modding at all.
You should always read around before modding any game.
Consult the mod author for mod related issues. How can you not know unless they missed it in their mod description.
Running Honor mode doesn't mean you cannot make a backup of your save yourself. If you know enough to mod, you should have the tech know how to do this.
Best practice. If you are gonna pour energy into anything you are gonna mod, backup backup backup. Mods are not "sanctioned DLC" or anything. Developers cannot possibly prepare for every possible scenario modders could bug out their game.
