Jaheira & ranged weapon

I'm playing on Easy (yea, right), so I can't multi-class. So why don't Druids get a viable (NOT thrown spears!) ranged weapon ability? Thanx!

They took slings out of the game. Natural druid ranged weapon proficiency.

Alas, she's a half elf and not a full elf, or she would already have longbow proficiency.

Solution: take martial weapons feat, she can use longbows, and heavy crossbows. I usually have her using a bow. It's a elven and half elven thing.

I think I just spammed cantrips with her when she was out of melee range.

Change the difficulty to balanced then multi class and then go back to easy.
