Because you can still download a bunch of mods who'll turn Astarion into a cute tomboy. Or mod for making Wyll into voluptuous lady strolling through battlefield with 9th month pregnancy. Or make Shadowheart into square-jawed chadbro.

It never had anything to do with "standing for inclusivity" or "supporting LGBT rights". They did it, because they new removing this mod would stir up internet arguments, and that's just free advertisement for them, more traction on their website. If they really gave a flying fudge about what they claim they do, they'd put the torch to every mod who makes such changes - but that'd make people seek out different modding sites and that's not the goal at all.

And it's stupid, no matter how you look like it and what your ideological/political stance is. If I as a gay dude have the freedom to turn every single companion into a buff man to fulfill my fantasy, than some other guy should have the freedom to make it all "straight and narrow". and someone else to spray the whole thing with a "Man-B-Gone" and fill Faerun with nothing but women as far as eye can see.

I wonder if it would help them in a long run though. I mean, I don't think I will ever drop any mods on their web-site again, but that just me.

Also ironically they actually promoted the no-alphabet mod, because now it is easier to get the whole package vs just changing aylin as the mod on Nexus was doing.
