I am messing around with custom bard subclasses. I tried College of Spirits. It had this ability to tell Spirit Tales but the ones you get were randomly generated each day. Meh. College of Glamour is interesting, but I can't see exactly how its abilities give you anything beyond the Enthrall/Hypnotic/Charm spells. College of Creation is funky. You can create these pillars that don't really do much beyond preventing you from being polymorphed. You can give characters motes of inspiration when you give them bardic inspiration that work slightly differently. Most interesting ability is you can create an animated singing/dancing sword that fights alongside you. AFAICT, it's basically Spiritual Weapon.
Some of the 5e spells for bards are really good, I recommend getting the 5e spells addon for using one. Gives the bard a wider range of very 'flavored' spells.
and nice on the bard info, I knew they added monk or such was odd to not have these at first
thank you all so much for the fast feedback
damn game is taking forever to dl and install, thanks steam
hehe
hugs and hopes!
and danke from california
Monk is also extremely fun to play. It is a bit trickier to find the right equipment for, but is fun even with the vanilla options. I enjoy taking down the enemies with my Kung Fu punches and kicks.
If I even buy an EA game generally I just shelve it and watch it bake from the news of patches occasionally. I waited for full polished release in BG3 case and then for a few patch beyond that to really get into it, such as magic mirror appearance and balance fixes, it's a phenomenal game.
same with paladins and or bards/hunters
I read a LOT of new info on hunters in this game, finally getting what they truly deserve
old pnp you HAD to have some sort of hunter or tracker
if not gl
i dont know all the companions you get, so id not know what to start with now
as so much has changed
screw being a basic fighter, as most say...to simple and dull and Id bet you get fighters for the party
I saw a spelljammer ship in one of the old cut-scenes and jaw dropped there..
but havent seen this represented ... yet
ShadowBlades never get the justice they should..
I dont mind ea or launchers like most seem too
I do loathe the company but not for that
they hold on to game ips and never release or remake or allow the original creators the rights back
but, the complaints if this was early access are warranted
Its why I didnt continue,
one day you would start bg3 and all progress would wipe
all
the next day oh that class doesnt exist anymore
eeep
Nobody knows what's coming next. I'm sure future patches might add minor features, like Patch 5 adds inventory management of all from camp and the new difficulty modes. It also added being able to get Minthara on a "good" run, but I think they are still kinda debugging that.
Are they going to do DLC or an expansion? All remarks I've seen seem to lean toward no, but they didn't totally rule it out. If we go by their track record, they did do Definitive Editions with added content for D:OS 1-2 and if nothing else they are likely to do it for BG3, but so far no official announcement.
They've seemed to hint that the next project is their main focus, and it strongly sounds like the next project is a D:OS 3, but again, nothing official has been announced. I know everybody's HOPING for a BG4 or at least another D & D game ... haven't said anything in that regard.
more like the inv people keep winging about and have since day 0
I try NOT to play ubi or ea stuff, but honestly soon
all this will be ran by MS and azure so, one launcher and MS account to rule them all soon
eep
ty all for again such great posts and no names or ridicule
I like this
most games have a toxic following...
so ty again for posting without hate or wtf dumbarse
etc
My favorite resource. Always recommend it.
BG3.wiki ... Companions. Tells you all of them. What are their classes. Which have romances. When in the game they appear. I planned my Tavs around it. Then also used hirelings to fill in gaps. Later on as I started using mods, I used hirelings to try out other mod custom options.
Some people like going into a CRPG blind and knowing nothing beforehand. I respect that way of playing, but it's not mine. I like to have a plan available, so I check out who and what is available, when.
