I can´t disable the eyes of selune

I entered the Underdark via the elevator in The Zhentarim Hideout, and have now reached the statues at the temple of Selune - and now I am stuck. Whatever I try, I can´t disable the eyes of Selune. When I shoot the moonstones obove the statues, nothing happens, they don´t seem to be a real target. When I shoot the eyes of the statues, they shut off, but the moonstones still shoot at me. Turn based mode doesn´t help either, I tried that as well. Does anyone know how I do get past these two statues?

Disabling it takes place inside the fortress, there should be a way around if you do some parkour that gets you in without going through the main entrance.

There should be a broken wall somehwere, you can go out that way and not get hit by the statue.

You can jump into there with clever use of abilities... But failing that just fast travel out and take the normal entrance.

all you need to do is crouch, they won't even shoot you

I just went around them after I saw them rip the beast to shreds, can quite easily ignore them.

You need to shoot something else. You're on the right track, look up high somewhere.

You are not doing the "right" thing, but you are on the right track. There are technically 5 entrances and 4 exits attached to the Underdark area. Just explore more and you'll uncover all the "secrets" here - unless you wish to use "spoilers" as a substitute of exploration.
