Since it is kinda her companion quest it is best to take her into your party before entering the place.

I believe you can go to camp while inside the creche and switch, but the area through that magical door that leads to the inquisitor's room blocks fast traveling and therefore going to the camp.

You don't need her with you. It just makes it easier to talk your way through.

As a general rule, it is good to take companions along on their own quest missions. However, it is generally not absolutely required.

I pretty much never go anywhere without Lae'zel, so I don't really know from personal experience what happens if you don;t have her with you for the creche.

Definitely doesn't have to be with you considering she can be permanently dead before this point not to mention skipping her recruitment entirely. It could arguably be better mechanics-wise since your dialogue choices can have her turn hostile, but it's better narrative-wise for character growth. There's no major repercussions for benching her. She just gets snippy when you talk to her at camp afterwards.

Is Will the best character to have in the party for persuasion? I need to persuade Lae'zel that the Gith are evil but keep failing the check.

Wyll is the only charisma-based character among your companions, but if your Tav has high charisma then that's a good option.

Lae'zel (like all of your companions) gets easier to persuade if she likes you more.

I have never tried to persuade her that "the Gith are evil". I have found that if you let her decide what is what on her own, she will decide that Vlaakith is manipulating her. But for that to happen, you have to give her time to think it over.

I hate lae'zel and remove her from my party ASAP I've only just reached the goblin camp and not looking forward to getting her back in my party, glad I don't need her for the creche.
