She would have been better serviced by getting her before the end of act 1, and not the end of 2

You can beeline to Minthara and scoop her up at the start of Act 2

Can even finish most of the Act 1 mountain pass quests and some Underdark stuff with her in the party.
I appreciate this but it would be nice if you didn't have to put the extra effort into getting her at a time where you should have.

Maybe in previous patches she would. All I know is with Minthara in the party when I tried to go back to the Creche - or any Act 1 area - she said "no, I'm not going with you".

This is also true of Halsin, but I think has always been true.

I don’t understand why anyone would be attracted to the dommy mommy types, i find it gross. Irl when a woman is really into you she will get subby, and while none of the female companions really get like this shart comes the closest even though she’s insufferable at times. Karlach doesn’t really count for me cause she’s built like a man but maybe if i made her cute with mods idk
Just as a heads up, Drow society in D & D is matriarchal. Powerful women run all the major Drow houses, including Minthara's, House Baenre. This often causes tensions between mothers and daughters, who would be their successors, and is why Minthara's mom tried to kill her.

She is who she is like so many other companions because of the society she came from. Drow society is run by dommy mommies.

Let me say this - they all have a soft side if you're willing to find it. Lae'Zel thinks sunsets on Faerun are amazing. and maybe there's more to life than battle. Karlach is tough as nails in battle but deep down she's terrified of being alone and betrayed. And Minthara can come to see there are things more important than ruling over others. And even vengeance.

!. Minthara
2. Laezel
3. Strong tiefling mommy
4. Anyone else, but not Shadowheart

Might I ask what is wrong with Shadowheart? She is currently a 5th level cleric 2nd level Wizard whom on her own destroys enemies on eht battle filed. I would put her against any other female out there.

Yeah, Minthara is great. As a drow enjoyer I appreciate that they wrote her an interesting backstory and managed to give her personality some nuance without turning her into goody two-shoes like Drizzt.
