Mods to Remove Woke

It's baffling and frankly disappointing that Nexus Mods refuses to allow a mod for Baldur's Gate 3 that would remove the game's heavy-handed approach to social issues. As gamers, we turn to fantasy worlds like Baldur's Gate for escape and adventure, not to be bombarded with modern social narratives. Yet, Nexus, a platform celebrated for championing gamer choice and customization, is denying us the very thing it stands for.

The game, in its current state, feels less like a fantasy RPG and more like a checklist of diversity and inclusivity. While inclusion is important, in Baldur's Gate 3, it often feels forced and distracting from the core gaming experience. Overpowered female NPCs, a spectrum of LGBTQ+ characters, and other elements seem more focused on ticking boxes than enhancing the story or gameplay. For many players, this detracts from the immersive experience that the Baldur's Gate series is known for.

So, why won't Nexus Mods allow a mod to tailor the game to individual preferences? After all, isn't the essence of modding to personalize and enhance the gaming experience according to each player's taste? By not allowing such mods, Nexus seems to be taking a stand that contradicts the very principle of gamer autonomy and customization.

It's time for Nexus Mods to reconsider its stance and acknowledge that part of the beauty of gaming is the ability to shape our experiences to our liking. A mod that streamlines Baldur's Gate 3 to focus more on traditional fantasy elements, without the overt social justice themes, isn't about exclusion; it's about preserving the escapism that RPGs promise. Nexus, by not allowing this, is essentially dictating how we should experience games, which goes against the spirit of modding and the freedom it's supposed to offer.

For one I wouldnt buy such a game. But if you feel like gifting me one, I could definitelly give you my honest opinion.

It is a me problem until the game flops and people go "but why" when the whole game is just an excuse to live out bigotted fantasies of killing everyone you politically disapprove of.

They put the cross dresser in the circus. They don't ban hate against alphabet spaghetti people. Larian only wanted a good esg score. They're not on your side. Also, "based" games tend to have overwhelmingly positive ratings. Especially when the companies speak out against the haters. Compare the recent success of The Coffin of Andy and Leyley, to the astronomical failure of budlight, and the issue with woke localisers ruining anime for their western audience and getting replaced by AI because the majority in both the east and west has had it with their ♥♥♥♥.

Those mods were removed because they were noticed because they gained traction. People were downloading thing. Search "No Alphabets". It's still popular outside of nexus, along with similar mods. Nexus can't control other websites, and they can't even make such things incompatible with their mod launcher, since we just move to other mod managers. I prefer to use BG3 Mod Manager over Vortex anyhow.

And, sure, people are downloading them. But you're stretching "popular" to the breaking point, especially when you compare them to the number of people downloading the top mods out there.

How is reinforcing the original point a goal post shift? They got removed because people were downloading them, which was the original point. If given the same time as other mods, they would have been in the top 3 pages without a doubt.

Aren't the same people who are this open against gay relationships also gloryfying roman/greek times, one where an accepted practice was young, often teenage, boys living with an adult man, where the boy was placed to be "educated", and that often also had sexual dimensions?

Lucretia's gender and gender identity are never clearly stated. The Forgotten Realms Wiki puts her sex as male and gender identity as feminine, however there's nothing concrete to back that up. She never says, and we never get a look under her outfit. And as much as people may rely on it, the wiki IS a fan run site.

So, she may be a drag queen. She may be a trans woman. She may be a cis woman who happens to dress in the flamboyant way typical of drag queens ( Yes, there are a good many out there ).
