A year, as you yourself just said, doesn't create a classic. BG3 would have needed to be the best RPG of all time beating all before it and/or doing things that people will remember as innovative or the first of its kind.

I didn't say year. I said years. As far as I'm aware, BG3 has outsold most other CRPGs in just a few months as well, so I imagine it does well in the "beating" department

Yeah honestly I can't imagine that this doesn't become the next Skyrim and define what most people think of as an RPG for awhile.

Or at least what they think of that isn't Skyrim.

And we aren't. Nexus can do whatever they want on their own privately held platform paid by their own money using their own server infrastructure. Or do you want them to be forced to do something with their private property that they don't want to do?

Same here, especially if its an expansive story. Canon fluctuates all the time, all that matters is we enjoy it. I mean hell, look at 40k

Its had so many retcons (massive ones at that) and they brought so much fun

EDIT: And sinners admittance, despite my undying love for the Halo franchise and deep dives into its lore. I really enjoyed the Halo show
