Inventory management & bags
Ello everyone!

So, been playing a ton, and loving it, but would really love a few more bags for sorting stuff into, that can accept a bit wider type of items, then what i've so far found..
I'm well into first act, i think?
Just found the goblin camp, swamp witch, and the gith at the bridge..

So, my question is, do i happen to find more bags at some point/somewhere, or is my only option, to possibly use mods, that create more bags to sort stuff into?

Thanks ya'll, and have a great day! <3

There's bags, backpacks and pouches all over the place, just pick them up

Well, since im approaching the end of chapter 1, and literally vacuuming everything up, but still haven't found those multi-purpose bags you mention, i'd love to hear, where those multipurpose bags are all hiding?

I hope i made it clear, that what i need, is bags that are not super locked on use, like for example the "bewildering adventurers pack", or also the "peculiar clothing chest".

If i still just have missed them, or they're just somewhat further ahead, i'd love to just hear that too!

Thanks in advance :)

I've just started playing the game recently, still at the druid camp. I gave bags to my companions, so I've sorted things into backs on the different characters as my own character has a str of 8 and can't carry much. When I got to the shop I found it a pain to open the bag and sell things. Switched to companion, double click the bag, it doesn't open, switched to my char back then the window opens. I'm finding it a pain to sell.

If I put items in the barter list, then switch character, it clears the barter list.

it's such a pain....

The bags are literally there, all over the place, but it's hard at first to look at them differently, because of how all other games work. It also took a while for me, at first. I discovered it accidentally.

What I mean is, you can loot containers, but also pick up such containers. The trick is to CTRL+click on them. Yes, you can pick up burlap sacks, pouches, backpacks, bags and even some chests scattered over the world.

There are a few backpacks in the grove that aren't owned by anyone, there's at least three backpacks in the abandoned camp in the swamp, two or three along the way between the grove and the overrun village, one where Karlach is, but I think a majority of the backpacks I found in Act 1 are in the Underdark. Easily had a dozen backpacks by the end of Act 1:

I also grab containers that are visually distinct from each other so I can quickly sort things into them. Also helps that they have different names, so when you click auto sort it'll keep them in alphabetical order instead of randomly shuffling them.

There are a few free backpacks in the druid grove. My first campsites had a backpack you can take. Pouches (not herb pouch) hold just as much as a backpack. I use them for potions and scrolls to keep my inv. uncluttered.

You can also take them using Rightclick -> Pick Up. It's recommended to sort away potions, scrolls, special arrows into separate such containers. I would also pick visually distinctive ones, e.g. there are at least 2 different backpack icons and pouch and burlap sack look different as well. Once you've sorted your items into those, add the containers to the custom bar (right side of action bars). Then, you can access them in combat with just one left click and you'll only see the contents of that particular container. Makes finding stuff much easier.
It's still not ideal with the inventory management in this game, but using this strategy makes it much easier and quicker than always searching for stuff from the main inventory.

Or use https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/880 . There are other similar mods too.
