Ah ok, is it messing with other quests progressions? Are you still getting quests that is? Because while annoying if it's not blocking other main story quests from popping then just ignore it I would say.
Have you gotte lazel out of the cage? Or gotten to the grove yet?
It prevents main quests from being added to the quest journal. I do not know whether it actually prevents main quest flags from being triggered/completed, but they do not show up in the journal.
While it seems like the bug resolves itself by Act 2, the big concern is that players might not be getting XP for completing main quest objectives, leaving them gimped and with substantially less lvl. 12 playtime once they hit act 3. I do not have the game knowledge to know whether we are getting XP correctly.
This bug has a big footprint if you google it; a lot of people were getting it when the game released.
The trigger seems to be having a non-host character (the player hosting the game) trigger the transponder, but some people say it comes from skipping the cutscene.
Honestly, it might just be worth restarting or at the very least reloading to the nautaloid to see if doing it again has the same result. If it does its probably the save itself, and a new game likely fixes the issue.
Which sucks if you put a lot of hours in, or just keep rolling with it if thats to much. It may effect you some though.
i don't think it's either of these, i am playing a co-op game with a friend - they triggered the transponder (i'm hosting) and skipped the cut scenes. we didn't get this bug, so there's probably more to it. i wonder if it's some kind of desync issue where doing one or both of those things increases the chance of this happening? i would be really interested in knowing if this does prevent exp or if it's just quest tracking in act 1. sucks either way though.
