Which of the Girl characters have the best Romance?
To me romance doesn't have to be in a game to be a good game but if its there I want it to feel genuine. So my question is which has the most fleshed out romance that doesn't like ruin immersion or feel forced? Genuinely I'm between Shadowheart and Lae'zel

Lae'Zel will still pursue you first. Doesn't even require you to flirt first. It's easy to get by just "not saying no". I really love how this plays out. At one point she'll challenge you to a duel. Don't worry, she not only won't kill you, if you let her bring your HP down (my guess is to around 30% or so) she finally realizes she cares about you too much to keep hurting you. If you bring her HP down, she also calls an end to it, but she adores the bruises. Githyanki romance sort of reminds me of Klingon romance that way.

Karlach has the best working "request a kiss" animation. Plus you get to go on a date in the city in Act 3 if you temp-fix her engine. A very nice date once you head upstairs. She hasn't touched anybody in ten years and ... If you run into Fytz in the city, she will happily tell her how much she adores you.

Shadowheart is the most straightforward. If you're patient, by Act 3, you can go for a very nice swim. A skinny dip. She also (IMHO) has the happiest ending with you IF you redeemed her away from Shar. A nice peaceful life in a cottage with lots of pets. Just as an aside, I've always gotten the sense there was something between her and Nocturne she can't remember, and Nocturne won't exactly say.

Both situations are complex for the other two if you know what's ahead.

Having Lae'Zel stay with you instead of leaving to fight the lich queen means Vlaakith will hunt both of you the rest of your days. She says so. She's looking forward to it. But deep down it seems like you won't have a very safe comfortable life. Personally I would feel a sense of regret killing Orpheus AND having her stay in Faerun. Voss may have to step up to the plate to lead the rebellion.

If you romance Karlach, you have to decide to either stay with her with her as a mindflayer, live with her in Avernus while constantly being hunted by Zariel (or maybe share her with Wyll?), or, well, watch her die. Them's your choices. None is a very grand happy ever after ending.

Of course, Larian threw in hints in the Epilogue you might be able to find a fix for her engine after all. So maybe someday you can come back to Faerun.

I don't know exactly how the Minthara romance plays out. I just finally got her on a good playthrough and I'm still trying to make it work.

What would make it feel more genuine? I'm speaking from a game perspective.

Laezel in my opinion, because her character develops big time throughout while shadowheart is like stereotypical emo girl who became dark and brooding because her parents didn't love her (despite being the most loving parents ever) and turns back to the light when she realizes the emo phase is cringe and somebody shows affection to her.

Like the romance evolves, like you actually feel like you're getting to know them and they weren't just shoehorned into being a romance option because they knew you'd want to kinda thing. Example is I hear Karlach wasn't supposed to be a option but was made one so her romance may feel rushed or awkward, again thats what i heard I'm not sure

Truly? Kinda sad to hear that about Shadowheart seems like she could have more depth.

I mean that was a gross over simplification, but basically yes. She's edgy and brooding, probably writes poetry about darkness and destruction and idolozes jared Leto and his band. Then becomes normal if you choose to show her some love.

My boy chose Lae'zel and did not regret it for a moment. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3061270548

Appreciate the help, I feel like Lea'zel would be a good option but really want to play a dwarf and felt it might not mesh well lol

Probably Shadowheart then. The rest feel superficial in comparison or are too weird (LeZell).

The gith don't really like any race besides their own, but doing laezels story and romance actually has her come around and kinda realize her culture and race are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's some good development imo and non gith races seem to compliment it well.

Yeah my first time I was romancing both shadowheart and laezel, and ultimately had to choose so I picked laezel because shadowheart was a prude and not putting out. Felt kinda bad about it but once pursuing laezel I didn't regret it either.

In my first run, I picked Karlach. She's a very straightforward character, but I like chaotic good archetypes so she was just fine for me.

This time I'm going for Shadowheart. So far so good.

Never tried Lae'zel. Arrogant, cruel archetypes are definitely not my thing.

Shadow6(emo) have most flash out romance in the game (walking red flags)
Leyzel (toad) never romance her, in 2/3 cases i throw her out of the ship on the begining of the game.
Karlach (red one)little bit too thirsty, same as her origin story, cut content. 2 romance scenes kidna mid.
Mithara(grey one) - only fully animated sex scene in the game, over all same issue as Karlach suffering from cut content. On other hand funnies interaction on act 3
Jaheira - no romance

How was the Romance with Karlach, was it rushed or feel forced?

That playthrough was at launch, meaning the NPCs were all.. Super-horny. Don't know how it's paced now after being patched.

That said, apart from the pacing, it didn't feel awkward or uncomfortable. On par with most game romances, I'd say. Again, Karlach is a really straightforward character; she doesn't tiptoe around what she wants. You get exactly what's on the cover. Obviously, her romance ties into her companion quest, which is quite long if I remember correctly.

I didn't regret my choice at the time and I still think it's a good pick if you like "simple" stories.
