Sorlock.

Monk + rogue for obvious stacking of bonus actions.

I second shadow monk and thief. Sorlock is incredibly boring. You're either just using one attack the whole game or abusing darkness while still using one attack the whole game.

Monk/Rogue is also mostly just spamming the same set of skills in every fight, too.... (flurry of blows).

Druid and bard hybrids are a bit interesting to me. Little bit of anything and everything lets you mix it up in and out of combat. That is druid+anything OR bard+anything, where the anythings make sense to you (eg bard + any cha user or most melee classes, druid & melee usually, etc). Not druid+bard -- that may work, but its not what I meant :)

Before level 8, most hybrids are tougher to make work. Once one of the classes hits about 5-6 and the other 3ish you can do stuff from both sides and it gets a lot more versatile.

Here's my party for Honour Mode:

Tav - 2 Storm Sorcerer, 10 GOO Warlock
Jaheira - 2 Storm Sorcerer, 10 Moon Druid
Minthara - 3 Gloomstalker Ranger, 3 Thief Rogue, 6 Swords Bard
Shadowheart - 2 Illusionist Wizard, 10 Lore Bard

MC is a Darkness/Devil Sight and knockback (Repelling Blast, Thunder Wave) based 'Lock with Distant Spell for sniping and Extended Spell for doubling the usefulness of AoE spells like Hunger of Hadar. I would have chosen Shadow Sorcerer if it were available.

Jaheira is a frost summoner - Sleet Storm, Conjure Elemental (Water) and Wildshape Water Myrmidon at level 10, and Storm Sorcerer mostly for Twinned Spell and Tempestuous Magic to escape from melee. Will also have access to Spike Growth, Plant Growth, Wall of Stone and other situational spells as well.

Minthara is an archer/dual wielder, getting 2x Fighting Styles from Ranger and Bard (Archery and Two Weapon Fighting). Extra bonus attack from Thief for more off hand attacks and then Swords Bard gets the extra attacks from Slashing Flourish as well as a natural Extra Attack at level 6. She'll also get access to Cloud of Daggers. She'll wield a Sussur Dagger in her off hand, Phalar Aluve in her main hand, and she'll take the Mage Slayer feat.

Shadowheart is an infiltration based Bard and debuffer - Improved Minor Illusion for sneaking around and also drawing enemies into AoE spells like Cloud of Daggers or Hunger of Hadar. She'll also be using Cutting Words. Counterspell, and maybe some gear with Bane on it to debuff enemies. She'll be focusing on making sure the enemy never hits the party or can't move at all (Hold Person/Monster, Bane, Cutting Words Vicious Mockery) and her big attack will be Phantasmal Killer.

In my opinion, the most fun / best have-fun type of multiclass has to be Wild Magic sorceress + Wild Magic barbarian. In Neverwinter Nights (an earlier sequel to BG2), Sorc + Barb used to be a very powerful / effective combo. BG3 uses a newer version of the DnD ruleset, now enabling them to be the only Wild Magic combo.

The Spartan: Barbarian/Ranger, use a shield and spear/lances, throw it at your enemies then kick them off a cliff shouting at them.

Barbarian with Enraged Throw, Tavern brawler feat, there's a few items that gives you bonuses when you throw ♥♥♥♥ at people( been a couple of weeks sinc ei last booted the game so my memory ain't fresh).
Ranger with Hoardbreaker stuff, wich allows you to make multiple attacks per turn against swarms of enemies.

Get the magical Trident at the start of Act 3 (+2 trident that deals AoE thunder damage when thrown on target and comes back in your hand automaticly)

Super fun.
2 Levels in Storm Cleric (just enough to get the channel divinity to max damage on a lightning spell) then straight 10 of the storm/tempest (forget what it's called) sorcerer.

You wanna max charisma, but put a few points into wisdom, and then have reasonable dex for AC purposes (say, 17 cha, 14 wis, 15 dex). You get medium armour and a wide range of weapon proficiencies, including shields, from the cleric, and you're a pretty fun spellsword type of character. You can wield a dex weapon decently, can make great use of the storm sorcerer's ability to fly after a spell cast, and once per short rest you can drop a guaranteed max damage lightning bolt or chain lightning on a group of enemies using your channel divinity charge.

Fighter 2, Swords Bard 8, War Cleric 1, Wizard 1

Best non-consumables based solo boss killer.

ranger5/ druid7

Why Ranger-5? Druid already gets most of the spells Ranger gets, and if you just want Extra Attack why not go for Fighter or Paladin?

10 Storm Sorc, 2 Tempest Cleric, have another character throw water bottles or use create Water to get double damage with Wet Status, use Channel Divinity to max the damage and enjoy doing utterly absurd amounts of damage with one attack, then do it again(Without the Divinity charge) with Quickened MetaMagic in one turn.

I gave you an award, but the vast majority aren't going to solo this game. That means synergy becomes an important variable. Create a duo.

Personally I enjoy a lvl 12 Fighter (melee) lvl 12 Fighter (ranged) combo. If multiclassed, then lvl 8 Fighter - lvl 2 Barbarian - lvl 1 Wizard - lvl 1 Cleric.
