Enter shadowfell or wait?

I saved the prisoners in the Moonrise tower's lower level prison, I have no access to the higher floors yet. I went back to the mausoleum and reached the entrance to shadowfell, I did not kill Balthazar but accepted to help him (even though i am doing a good playthrough but he seemed less eveil than the big boss :) ). After that I spoke with the general in the tower and he told me I should check how Balthazar is doing with the recovery of the artefact.

What should i do next? If i enter the shadowfell, the witch quest fails (the witch that could help you with the tadpole infection, but i did not find any way to reach her again, i did not kill her).

I am kinda confused now.

I got also the spear from the gauntlet, but it is a simple +1 spear. Do i get the real spear in the Shadowfell?

Please give me some hints, thanks

Move on if you feel like you did everything you wanted to do in the Shadow Cursed Lands.

Don't worry about the spear, just take it into the Shadowfell with Shadowheart.

As far as the Auntie Ethel quest (if that's the witch quest you're referring to), you need to go through two illusionary passages to reach her. One is by a fireplace, one is by a talking wall.

I went throguh that already, i foguht her but then i spared her and she disappeared then. At the point where I can then resurrect the girl's dead lover. Now I cannot find the witch anywhere..i rewent through all the part behind the firplace, and the talking wall.

I remember she said we would meet again but I never found her again

EDIT: I am reading it's probably a bug. I assume it happened because I neither agreed or denied her offer to help with the tadpole, since that seems to be the main purpose of that specific quest
