Haslin or the Gith?
Hi,

I have the option to look for Haslin or the Gith for a cure. I want to meet both... Which one first or does the one locks out the other?

I do not understand your question.

On the one hand you do not want to meet both.
On the other hand you ask if each locks out the other?

You can do both. You do not have to do both. It is your choice how you want to do it.

Neither locks out the other.

Neither excludes the other. And neither has a cure. They just further the plot. And it's honestly best to do both. XP, quest rewards, and lots of plot. Though if you're playing evil you can help the goblins raid the druid encampment instead which apparently leaves Halsin to die.

Sorry, my mistake. I mean, I want to meet both. I corrected my sentence :-)

So it also doesnt matter which one I meet first?

through natural play you should meet halsin first, if for no other reason then its the right "level" for you to be at.

Resolve the quests around Halsin first, then go for the Githyanki Creche.
That way you get to experience both.

Halsin is much closer than the gith but yeah... you will soon find that the cure is not easily within reach. :D

I think there are more than 6 possible cures in act 1 alone. None exclude the other. These include
auntie ethel, druid healer (2x, nettie then halsin), volo, goblin gut, creche, mind flayer in underdark and possibly others I have missed or forgotten.

Wellllll....it matters in that you'll probably be seriously under leveled if you go to the creche first. Plus I think the area transition to get to the map with the creche, while not the end of Act 1, may advance the Grove raid if you haven't cleared out the goblin camp where Halsin is being held. I'm not sure if that or crossing into Act 2 proper is what advances it. But you do get a warning about not being able to come back to some things when you cross into the Mountain Pass.
Very few options lock you out of others, for example you can't help both goblins, and the grove.

But in this case, if you wanna do both don't rush to the gith cuz if you leave the main area you start in (you will get a promt to warn you of this) it will resolve the area in a way that will prevent you from doing anything with halsin if you haven't done so already.

That being said, if you don't care about recruiting Halsin and fixing the shadow curse in Act 2 or saving the Tieflings, it's a good way to have a chance to recruit Minthara later without having to go the full evil choice of helping her raid the Grove. Doesn't piss off Wyll, Karlach, and potentially Gale either. And without using the still janky but now officially supported "knock Minthara out" method. Oh, you don't get the sex scene though, that only happens if you help with the raid.
